Accessibility

Project 'Accessibility'An extensive programme of development took place in early 2004 to improve access to all areas of the building and grounds. The following brief information will act as a guideline, but a call to Knuston Hall's offices on 01933 312104 will make it possible for a more detailed discussion about whatever accessibility issues are your priority.

Coloured Pencil Course

Of the 13 meeting rooms available, 10 have flat access. They are....

  • The Lounge
  • The Panelled Room
  • The Library
  • The Beech Room
  • The Kemble Room
  • The Coach House
  • The Practical Room
  • The Orchard Computer Suite
  • The Brewerton Room
  • The Harness Room (flat, but currently difficult for wheelchair users - work in progress)
  • The ground floor of The Main House, which includes The Lounge, The Panelled Room, The Bar, The Dining Room and full-access cloakrooms is flat throughout.
  • The front entrance (flat) to the main house has been fitted with automtaic doors, as has the rear door to the West Wing accommodation block.
  • The following ensuite bedrooms are available...
    • Ground Floor: 6 bedrooms, 1 of which is fully equipped for a wheelchair user
    • First Floor:  19 bedrooms, 10 of which are accessible (flat) using the stair lift, another 9 being accessible using a combination of the stair lift and a maximum of 3 stairs.
    • Second Floor: 10 bedrooms accessible using a combination of the stair lift and a further flight of stairs.
  • There are 6 disabled parking spaces close to both the main building and the residential accommodation.
  • The reception area and the following meeting rooms have been fitted with a hearing loop.
