Stumpwork is a 17th century technique that is a form of raised and padded hand embroidery.  Most of us remember the beautiful English meadows with poppies, clover, thistles, dandelions, grasses, daisies, fritillary, cornflowers and buttercups in abundance.  Add insects and birds and you have the perfect summertime scene.  Work from the tutors pattern or one of your own. All abilities welcome.
